There are a few different types of stories in A3!. This page contains the Main Story. The other types of stories have their own pages:

Part 1 of the Main Story is unlocked by ranking up. All stories are unlocked when the player reaches Rank 55.

  • Prologue - Fully unlocked from start
  • Act 1 - Unlocked from start / Fully unlocked at Rank 14
  • Act 2 - Unlocked at Rank 15 / Fully unlocked at Rank 29
  • Act 3 - Unlocked at Rank 30 / Fully unlocked at Rank 44
  • Act 4 - Unlocked at Rank 45 / Fully unlocked at Rank 55

Part 2 of the Main Story can be unlocked from Rank 55 by accumulating Rank EXP. Rank EXP can be earned through doing practices and participating in the relevant Campaign Events. Each Act requires 32750 Rank EXP to unlock fully.

1/2 “EVER LASTING”

April 29, 2020 (18:00 JST): A countdown website was opened that lasted for 48 hours and would count down to the opening of a Part 3 teaser website. The countdown page is still accessible and the archive shows the different images (play posters and CG's) that were viewable during the countdown.

May 1, 2020 (18:00 JST): A teaser website with the name "A3! ACT3! 1/2 “EVER LASTING”" was opened. It contained written notes/letters and new images. Translations of the letters can be read here.

May 3, 2020 (18:00 JST): A trailer for the new main story was released on both Twitter and Youtube.

May 10, 2020 (12:00 JST): More notes were released, this time written by the very first troupe leaders. The page "About That Person" (あのひとのこと Ano Hito no Koto), is only accessible on mobile devices. Translations can be found here.

May 14, 2020 (17:00 JST): The first half of Part 3 of the Main Story was released, starting with Act 9. Basic requirements are to reach Rank 55 and already have Act 8 unlocked. Similar to Part 2, Part 3 can then be unlocked by accumulating Rank EXP, earned via doing practices, going on regional tours, using acting guides, and participating in the relevant Campaign Events.

2/2 “FULL BLOOMING”

May 14, 2021 (16:00 JST): The first of various countdown campaigns begins! View the Main Story ACT3! 2/2 Preparation Campaign page for more details, including new daily illustrations and mini talks.

July 3-4, 2021 (18:00 JST): New characters were announced on Twitter ♪ Three are from Hyakka Theater Troupe, which has been mentioned briefly in Acts 8 and 10, and two are MANKAI Company's new backstage staff.

July 9, 2021 (18:00 JST): The second half of Part 3 of the Main Story was released, starting with Episodes 1-20 of Act 11. (The later half of Act 11, i.e. Episodes 21-40, releases July 15, 2021, 16:00 JST.) Basic requirements are to reach Rank 55 and already have Act 10 unlocked.
