Masumi
CitronGive me the password!
Masumi...So annoying.
CitronMan!?
Masumi...Kai.
CitronBe more excited!
Man!?
MasumiKai!
CitronCome in!
I see everyone's here… And with that we'll establish an emergency headquarters for Tsuzuru's trump.
ChikageIt's slump.
ItaruI don't understand why we turned our room into the headquarters.
CitronBecause this place feels the most like a secret base!
SakuyaPoint taken…
IzumiHow's Tsuzuru-kun doing?
Masumi"I have to do it or else I won't finish it; I have to write or else I won't finish it…"
That's what he repeatedly mumbles while hitting the keyboard only to erase everything.
IzumiIt's a serious problem…
SakuyaWhile he was stuck on the ending during our Clockwork Heartbeat play, this time he's stuck on the plot outline.
ChikageHow about the schedule?
IzumiAs for the Showdown Act's event date, we're still in the middle of discussing it so that it won't interfere with the OG members' main occupations…
Not to mention our rehearsals and staging will be up in the air if the plot doesn't progress…
SakuyaI wonder if there's anything we can do to help.
ItaruThough in the end, the trouble of a scriptwriter is something that's out of our hands unless Tsuzuru gets out of it himself.
ChikageIt's frustrating, huh.
CitronWhat made him stuck like this, anyways?
IzumiI assume he's probably hung up on what Syu-san pointed out to him.
MasumiThe whole, "You're nowhere as good as Hakkaku Ikaruga"?
ItaruHe also told him he's done a halfass job as an actor.
CitronThe first-gen members are all scallops!
ChikageSo they're like sea creatures.
SakuyaI think the correct word should be "callous"!
IzumiLet's have a chat with Tsuzuru-kun and ask him about what he's hung up on. Then, let's try coming up with a way to help him.
Masumi-kun, I'll leave Tsuzuru-kun in your care.
MasumiGot it.
CitronSakuya and I are going to come up with a new change of mice for Tsuzuru!
ChikageAre you planning to use sorcery?
ItaruPretty sure he means "change of pace."
Izumi(I wonder what they're planning…)
Chikage...I figure we should also see if there's anything we can do.
ItaruWith your cheat skills, there's one thing you can do: espionage-like work.
ChikageThat's too unreasonable.
But well, should I try contacting Syu Otomiya?
ItaruPlease refrain from doing dangerous things, like that time during Kniroun when you got a hold of someone's weakness and tried to use it against that person.
ChikageHow about you? Do you have any otaku's way to help him out?
ItaruOtaku's way… ah.
Tsuzuru….uugh...aarrggh….
IzumiWhy don't you take a break?
TsuzuruAh… I'm sorry.
IzumiWorking at the balcony?
TsuzuruWell, I ended up making them all worry, after all...
IzumiI see…
Did you get stuck because of what Syu-san told you?
TsuzuruYea…
Syu"I acknowledged your flair for screenwriting, but you're just a mediocre actor. You don't have the heightened talent that only a handful of actors have."
"If you wanna catch up to Hakkaku-san as a scriptwriter, you shouldn't have any time to do some temporary acting jobs."
"Keep putting your ideas down until you feel like vomiting blood and write more."
"If you don't do that, your stories ain't no match for the world Hakkaku-san created. Don't drag the actors down with your scripts."
TsuzuruWhile I do want to oppose Otomiya-san's comment, the old members' play is a big deal since it's Hakkaku-san's posthumous work.
Since this is my first and last chance competing with Hakkaku-san, I end up at a loss not knowing how I should fight him.
I can't say that my works for both RomiJuli and Sky Pirates were merely a little bit inspired by the first gen’s--Hakkaku-san's works.
Hakkaku-san, the first-gen scriptwriter, is someone whom I admire and respect.
But in the end, the one who is taking responsibility for MANKAI Company's future is myself.
That's why I don't want to lose this match, for both my and everyone's sake.
But the more I think about it, the more I push myself. In the end, I can't decide what kind of story I should write.
No matter how many things I write, I don't think it's good. I can't accept it.
Izumi...In that case, what you need right now are indeed new inputs and a change of pace. Your view of the world must have gotten narrow.
Everyone in the Spring Troupe is also coming up with lots of things, apparently.
TsuzuruI can't help but have a bad feeling about what kind of things Citron-san is trying to pull.
I appreciate it, though.
I've read a lot of materials about the Genpei War over and over again, but I can't deny that I can't write anything even when I'm in front of my PC.
I'm gonna look for inputs the whole day tomorrow.
(Input, input…)
(Let's have breakfast first for now.)
ItaruMorning.
TsuzuruHuh? Good morning.
(It's so unusual for Itaru-san to wake up this early on a holiday. He usually plays games until morning and sleeps until noon…)
That's rare of you to be awake at this time. Is something up?
ItaruI slept early last night.
TsuzuruHeh, I see.
(Shall I make bacon and egg…)
Itaru
Tsuzuru?
(I can feel a set of eyes on me somehow.)
ItaruWhat's your plan today?
TsuzuruSince today is a holiday, I'm thinking of watching any works related to the Genpei War. Do you have any game or anime recommendations?
ItaruI have one, a game.
TsuzuruThen, can you…
ItaruCatch.
TsuzuruA controller… I expected no less from you, always well-prepared when it comes to games.
