Introduction

Animate Cafe collaborations feature a unique menu with food and drinks themed on A3! characters, performances, events, etc. Menu items come with a free coaster of a random character, and visitors are also able to purchase limited goods with original art. Chibi illustrations are done by あかね

Reservations for Animate Cafe are handled via lottery, though there are occasionally periods of time that run on a “first come, first served” basis instead.

(Note that, as many items are based off of events in the game, some minor spoilers may be present below.)

Collaboration 1

The first collaboration was held to celebrate the successful launch of A3! in Japan. The initial run only opened in Ikebukuro and Nagoya, though due to high popularity, the event was revived in October in Akihabara, Nipponbashi (Osaka), Sendai, and Okayama. The Kamebun Pancake was added in the revival.

The featured actors were the A3ders!, and the chibi theme for the collab was waiters. According to the menu images shared to Twitter, the food items were not available in Ikebukuro (original) or Okayama (revival).

Collaboration 2

The second collaboration was held in Ikebukuro, Sendai, Nagoya, Tennoji (Osaka), and Tenjin (Fukuoka). It featured a variety of menu items depicting the actors and various events.

The featured actors were Masumi Usui, Yuki Rurikawa, Juza Hyodo, and Tasuku Takato, and the chibi theme for the collab was “Hotel Style”.

MANKAI STAGE ~SPRING & SUMMER 2018~ Collaboration

The first MANKAI STAGE collaboration was held in Ikebukuro and Kyoto to commemorate A3!’s first stage play. In the first half of the collab, limited Spring Troupe-themed menu items were available, with limited Summer Troupe-themed menu items available in the second half.

Due to the event’s popularity, it was revived in Sendai in November. The revival featured the same halfway menu switch as the original run.

Collaboration 3

The third collaboration was held in Ikebukuro, Tennoji (Osaka), Tenjin (Fukuoka), Kyoto, and Sendai, starting on various days but all ending on 10/30. It featured a variety of menu items, including ones focusing on the Rookies and events of ACTs 5-8.

The featured actors were Tsuzuru Minagi, Muku Sakisaka, Taichi Nanao, and Hisoka Mikage, and the chibi theme for the collab was “MANKAI Trick Party.”

The Animate Cafe Food Truck was present at the 2018 A3! Exhibition from 9/14 - 9/17. The drinks featuring each troupe’s fourth play were available for sale.

The fourth collaboration was held in Ikebukuro, Tennoji (Osaka), Sendai, and Tenjin (Fukuoka).

This collab introduced birthday drinks: limited-time drinks that are only available for a few days around a character’s birthday while supplies last. Birthday drinks have been available for every major A3! main series and anime collab since, though they are absent from stage collabs.

The featured actors were Itaru Chigasaki, Misumi Ikaruga, Omi Fushimi, and Homare Arisugawa, and the chibi theme for the collab was “Strawberry Harvest.”

Collaboration 7

The seventh collaboration was held in Ikebukuro, Nagoya, and Tennoji (Osaka). It featured a variety of menu items depicting events in A3!, including some from ACTS 9 and 10.

The chibi theme for the collab was “Cafe Style,” featuring the outfits used for the fullbody art in previous collaborations. All 24 actors were featured, with an artbook containing the fullbody and chibi illustrations from every main series collab up to that point available for sale.
