Tasuku Takato/Die by the Sword
From A3! Wiki
Role Study【Miyamoto Musashi】
Backstage StoriesIzumi | Thank you for your hard work! |
Tasuku | Yeah, good work. |
Azuma | Fufu, Homare was the first today as well, right? |
Homare | For some reason, I just let them out of my mouth. |
Hisoka | Your brain and mouth are directly connected. |
Tsumugi | We have to match ourselves to the next play's world and in order to make sure that foreign words don't come out during the improv performance— |
We started this “English, foreign words prohibited game” but if we're careless, they immediately come out, right?
Tasuku | Tsumugi, that was a foreign word. |
Tsumugi | Ah! |
Guy | As might be expected of the one who suggested it, Takato doesn't use foreign words during practice at all. |
Tasuku | It serves my role-building too. As lead actor, I'm being careful not to ruin the appearance of the world. |
Tsumugi | ...... |
Tasuku, did you go do “that” this morning?[1]
Tasuku | “That”? |
...Yeah, I ran as usual.
Azuma | What did you do last night then? |
Tasuku | Last night, I did muscle... exercise.[2] |
Homare | Ooh...! |
Hisoka | He dodged that well. |
Izumi | That's Tasuku-san for you... |
Guy | A splendid avoidance capability. |
Omi | Here, I prepared something we can nibble on too. |
Tsuzuru | Thank you. What do you want to drink, Azami? |
Azami | A sports drink then. |
Izumi | Oh, why are you all gathered? |
Omi | There is a national soccer match today. Therefore, we wanted to watch it on the big screen in the lounge. |
Azami | Tasuku-san is the organiser, but it seems like he had plans and hasn't been able to come home yet. |
Tsuzuru | Oh, it's about to begin. |
Omi | —Ooh, that pass just now was great. |
Tsuzuru | Ah-! The goalpost! What a relief! |
Azami | That was close... |
Tsuzuru | Counter attack! |
Azami | Yes, come on! |
Izumi | (Everyone's completely engrossed. It looks fun.) |
Tsuzuru | Yesterday's match was really amazing, wasn't it? |
Azami | It was an extraordinary great match. |
Azuma | Oh, what kind of match? |
Tsuzuru | Soccer. There was a national team match yesterday. |
Homare | That's right, Tsuzuru-kun and Azami-kun were part of the kemari club, right?[3] |
Azami | Kemari club, you say... |
Tasuku | Ah, Minagi and Izumida. Sorry about yesterday. |
Even though I was the one who suggested it, I couldn't make it.
Tsuzuru | No. Takato-san is the one who must have had a long day. |
Azami | Tasuku-san, were you able to watch the match? |
Tsuzuru | It was a very good match. |
Tasuku | I had it recorded, just in case. I watched it once I'd returned home. |
It was a really great match. I was worried about the flow after that ‘corner kick’ in the second half, but the ‘counter attack’ after that was great.
Also, that ‘interception’ was commendable. Overall, compared to the match before that, the ‘defence’ became remarkably better—
Homare | ...... *grinning* |
Tasuku | —Ah. |
Azuma | ...... |
Homare | Well, the words Tasuku-kun just spoke... it appears they were all in English? |
Azuma | Fufu. After all, when it comes to the things you like, you just become talkative. |
Tasuku | Shit— |
Tsuzuru | ? |
Azami | What are you talking about...? |
Notes
- ↑ Tsumugi was trying to get Tasuku to use the loanword “running” he usually uses
- ↑ Tasuku usually says “kin tore” for muscle training, with “tore” being short for “training”, but he managed to avoid it lol.
- ↑ Homare was trying to avoid using the word “soccer”. To quote Wikipedia: “Kemari (蹴鞠) is an athletic game that was popular in Japan during the Heian period. It resembles a game of football (soccer) or hacky sack.”
