MukuLook at this, Yuki-kun! There’s a poster for the Hinamatsuri contest here too!
YukiWow… they’re really going all out with the advertising.
MukuIt’s just like what the director told us yesterday.
SakuyaA Hinamatsuri event?
IzumiYeah, Yuzo-san just told me about it—
The same organizers that did the Seven Lucky Gods Race are now planning an Odairi-sama Contest.
It looks like it’s an individual competition this time, but the troupe that the winner belongs to gets to perform on a stage prepared by the organizers.
Not to mention, it seems that the winning troupe gets a gift card along with a gift that’s related to Hinamatsuri...
ManagerWe should definitely do it!!
MukuWaah?!
SakuyaY-you scared me...!
YukiWhere did you come from?
OmiHe just popped out of nowhere.
ManagerI wanted some new apple boxes! And a whiteboard along with various equipment![1]
And then I’d like to get those newly-released headphones and the new singles from that band and that group...
TsumugiThe last part of Manager’s request seems pretty personal...
AzamiIt’s pretty selfish.
IzumiBut we’ve definitely been slacking off with getting new equipment.
MukuIf it’s like the Seven Lucky Gods Race, then does that mean it’ll be a huge event with a lot of guests coming?
TsumugiIt sounds like it might be good publicity for the troupe.
HomareYes, it seems like it could also have Sakyo’s approval.
KumonAw yeah! I wanna participate too!
IzumiOf course. Alright, let’s go discuss this with Sakyo and the others!
YukiI heard Sakyo gave us his approval.
MukuYeah! Ehehe, I’m looking forward to it.
YukiI wonder what we’re even doing for this Odairi-sama Contest.
MukuI learned that the Odairi-sama is actually called “Obina” the last time I looked it up.
I think the Ohina-sama is called “Mebina”...[2]
YukiHuh…
MukuThe Ohina-sama’s twelve-layered kimono is really pretty. I want to see you try making one.
YukiWell, I’m kinda interested.
Muku...Oh, but look at this!
It says they’re gonna host an Ohina-sama Contest at the same time as the Odairi-sama Contest!
The winner will get a gift card and a wonderful gift.
YukiHmm… An Ohina-sama Contest, huh.

  1. He actually says 箱馬 here, and according to Google they’re similar to the apple boxes used in photography or film production, but they're mostly used for theater and are built to a more specific measurement (about 30cm×30cm×18cm). I couldn’t find any English language information on 箱馬 so I just opted to call them apple boxes.
  2. Odairi-sama/Obina and Ohina-sama/Mebina refer to the two topmost dolls on a Hinamatsuri doll altar. They represent the Emperor and Empress, respectively.
