The game's heroine and player character is the Director. Her default name Izumi Tachibana (立花いづみ Tachibana Izumi) but her first name can be changed by the player. She is the daughter of the former director Yukio Tachibana. In the past, Izumi acted on stage herself but decided that she had no talent for it and gave up on acting. Later, due to certain circumstances, she got involved with the MANKAI Company once again in an attempt to save it. She then became the new director and took up her father's legacy.
During her childhood, Izumi would often visit the MANKAI Theatre and watch her father work as the director. Over time, she got interested in acting herself and met the young Sakyo Furuichi, where she introduced him to the company. Both of them quickly became childhood friends. However, Izumi stopped visiting after she was told she had no talent for acting at all. In the present, eight years after her father's disappearance, an invitation letter from the MANKAI Company that was addressed to her father was sent to her. Izumi decided to pay the theatre a visit in hopes of finding out where her father disappeared to, but soon got herself involved in the company's troubles.

Isuke Matsukawa (松川伊助 Matsukawa Isuke) is the manager of the MANKAI Company. Although his appearance is shabby and he has a weak personality, his belief in the MANKAI Company is genuine. He first reaches out to the Director (by sending a letter to her father) seeking help in restoring the company to its former glory.
Kamekichi (亀吉 Kamekichi) is a cockatoo and the MANKAI Company mascot. Kamekichi was named by the Director's father Yukio and is able speak well enough to act on stage. Kamekichi is an intelligent parrot with a pretty foul mouth and bad habits. He likes to insult people and often says what he wants without mercy, especially towards Isuke Matsukawa. His bad habits go so far that he even drinks too much alcohol sometimes. However, Kamekichi can also behave if he desires to, and has a playful nature to him. According to his official profile, he's 19 years old.
Tetsuro Iwai (岩井鉄郎 Iwai Tetsurō) creates the sets and props for MANKAI Company's productions. He's a tall, imposing man of very few words. Despite appearances, he's something of a gentle giant.
Yuzo Kashima (鹿島雄三 Kashima Yūzō) is also referred to as the Demon Coach due to his harsh, Spartan methods. He is an OB of MANKAI Company, previously belonging to the original Spring Troupe. On several occasions, he is brought in to advise and coach the company members. He currently works as an actor and director at a different company, and also lectures at a theatre school.
Ken Sakoda (迫田ケン Sakoda Ken) is a low-level yakuza and underling of Sakyo Furuichi, who he calls "aniki" or "bro". He's extremely devoted to Sakyo, and is often seen helping him with various tasks and hanging around the company. As a result, he gets quite familiar with the members of MANKAI.

Reni Kamikizaka (神木坂レニ Kamikizaka Reni) is the president and director of GOD-za, a large and prestigious rival theatre company. Not much is known about Reni himself, except that he has a grudge towards MANKAI Company and schemes to destroy it from the inside out.
Kaya Mizuno (水野茅 Mizuno Kaya) is from MIZUNO Enterprises and Tsuzuru Minagi's childhood friend. He first appears as a "mysterious benefactor" of MANKAI Company, in The Clockwork Heartbeat.
Takumi Tonooka is the promoter of the Knights of the Round game series and was Itaru’s high school friend. He makes an appearance in the Knights of Round IV THE STAGE.
He met Itaru back in high school. They both had a big passion for gaming and KotR, so they became friends. One day, when Itaru was talking to another school mate about KotR, Tonooka spilled his secrets to his school mates. Itaru, got really hurt and stopped hanging with Tonooka.
Hakkaku Ikaruga is Misumi’s and Madoka’s grandfather. He first appeared in the Captain Sky’s Pirates event story.

Madoka Ikaruga (斑鳩円 Ikaruga Madoka) is the younger brother of Misumi Ikaruga, first appearing in the Captain Sky Pirates event. Madoka is an intelligent and serious boy. Misumi describes him as being something of a tsundere. In part because of their father, Misumi and Madoka were not close growing up, and they have been estranged for some time. Despite what Misumi initially believes however, Madoka has affection towards his brother.
Tangerine is Citron’s youngest half-brother and appeared during Act 8 when Citron returned to Zafra. He admires Citron and thinks he is the perfect choice to the throne.

He is the oldest brother of Tsuzuru, and had his first appearance during ACT 8.

He is very lazy and carefree. Even so, he still cares for his younger brothers. Tsuzuru describes him as eccentric, as in bit of a character. He also appears to be a bit sly after telling Itaru about how he bribed someone to get into a sacred place.
He works as a curator of fine art and travels around the world a lot. During the time they were in Zafra, he gave Itaru a Japanese sake because the people loved it, which later helped him and Chikage get pass some soldiers to rescue Citron.
He feels some shame after running away from the trouble at home and giving Tsuzuru all the responsibilities. Although, he is happy after learning that Tsuzuru has achieved his dream as a scriptwriter.
Fuyuki Takato is Tasuku’s older brother. He first appeared in Die by the Sword where he meets Tsumugi and the Director near the Veludo train station. He works as a police officer in Tasuku’s and Tsumugi’s hometown. He is very good in mahjong.
Izumi describes him as the polar opposite of Tasuku, with a gentle aura. His charm makes him easily loved by others. Fuyuki and Tasuku’s relationship is a typical brothers relationship. Overall they get along, but Fuyuki likes to dote on Tasuku a lot. He has a collection of DVDs with all of Tasuku’s performances. He even helped Tsumugi when he and Tasuku had been fighting, by filling out the surveys of Tasuku’s performances.
August worked at the same agency as Hisoka, Chikage and July, being the one who invited Hisoka to join. He is shown to be very caring and intelligent and always giving Hisoka sweets.
He worked in a candy store under the alias, Misha.
As a spy, one of his tasks is to make serums that will kill spies if they fail the missions. During a mission with Hisoka, he was shot and were forced to the end of a cliff. He gave Hisoka the serum and told him to jump to save him. Before the mission, he had changed the serum so that they would temporarily lose their memory, because he didn’t want to lose his friends. He saved Hisoka by pushing him over the cliff and sacrificed himself.
Hikaru Karasuma was an Etude Event rival group from the "Team Naughty Boys" theatre troupe. He had a minor role in Dazzling☆Beachside PASSION and reappeared in the Queen Camellia event.
