| --Film No. 02: Taichi Nanao-- |
Taichi | It’s gotta be his cool air! His masculine presence! His manly back! |
| His performance as Chilong during Manto Fist had me awestruck~! |
| Like, he has this aura just by appearing on the stage.... |
| You can immediately tell he’s strong! Like he doesn’t have any weaknesses! |
| I’m not tall, so I can’t make that sort of strong impression~. |
| But, but! I’m going to pursue my own kind of cool as an actor! |
Omi | What do you think he lacks as an actor? |
Taichi | Hmm.... |
| He’s great at powerful action scenes, but.... |
| It takes him some time to memorize arrangements, and nail down how to conduct himself on stage. |
| I think it’s just a matter of experience. |
| I was part of GOD-za, so.... |
| I got a good look at how all sorts of guys were instructed during practice for different performances. That was huge. |
| And that comes in handy during Autumn Troupe practice now, you know? |
| Even though I just had minor roles, all that work up till now wasn’t a waste~. |
Omi | You’re right. |
| All right, last question. What do you respect about him as an actor? |
Taichi | That’s~... This is gonna get a little long, okay? |
Omi | That’s fine. |
Taichi | First—. |
| |
Izumi | Taichi-kun, isn’t that heavy? Can you handle it? |
Taichi | I’m totally fine! |
Izumi | Thank you. There’s a lot of heavy stuff today, so you were a huge help. |
Taichi | You can leave it to me—this much is no problem. Though I’m not as strong as Omi-kun~. |
Izumi | Oh, right. Autumn Troupe has been doing something in the garage lately, right? |
Taichi | Ehehe! It’s the interview plan! |
Izumi | Interview plan? |
Taichi | Juza-san has been troubled lately, so we’re interviewing everyone about him in hopes that we can help him out. |
Izumi | I see.... |
Taichi | Keep it a secret from Juza-san, okay? |
Izumi | (Juza-kun has been acting strange since our last meeting, so I figured they were doing something for him, but....) |
| (I hope the plan is successful. I want Juza-kun to head on forward without hesitation as the lead.) |
Taichi | I wonder what the script will be like~. |
Izumi | In the end, we never decided if we were going with the refreshing, passionate hero that Juza-kun wanted, or a villain more his style. |
| (Tsuzuru-kun said “please leave it to me,” so I think it’ll be fine, but... I wonder what he’ll come up with.) |
Taichi | It was the first time I saw Juza-san like that. |
Izumi | ...Juza-kun never said a word about the roles he played up till now, after all. |
| (He always faced his roles seriously; he always tried his best to live the life of his character on stage.) |
| (He’s not expressive, and he isn’t silver-tongued, but you could always tell that he was just so happy to be acting.) |
Taichi | ...During Manto Fist, I wasn’t confident that I could play the lead. I was only able to stand on stage because everyone else supported me. |
| Everyone told me what they thought was good about me—they recognized me as a fellow member of the troupe, as the lead, so.... |
| I could finally feel proud of myself. |
| I want to return the favor, too; that’s why I’m going to tell Juza-san what I respect about him with all my might. |
| Because... I’m really grateful for what he did during our debut performance, too. |
Izumi | The debut performance? |
Taichi | Remember when I hid the toy pistols and everyone panicked? Juza-san used his wits to pull us through that scene. |
Izumi | Yeah.... |
| (Back then, Juza-kun made his hands into a pistol and kept the show running.) |
Taichi | I think that was something only Juza-san could do. |
| Because he was seriously living Lansky’s life—that’s why Juza-san could pull that off. |
Izumi | You’re right... because he put his whole heart into living his role, everyone saw the pistol in Lansky’s hands. |
Taichi | I have no right to say this, but I’m so glad my beloved Picaresque didn’t fall apart. |
| That’s why I’m really grateful to Juza-san. |
Izumi | I see.... |
Taichi | Juza-san’s self-esteem is too low, so. |
| I’m gonna make sure he gets that there are some things that only Hyodo Juza, the actor, is capable of! |
Izumi | (Because they’ve been standing on stage with him all this time, they really know Juza-kun as an actor.) |
| (Autumn Troupe can help each other out so naturally now—their bond is so reliable.) |
| |
Izumi | I’m home~. |
Taichi | I’m home. |
Sakyo | You’re back. Did you buy the 98 yen eggs at the supermarket by the station? |
Izumi | Eh!? They were on sale!? |
Sakyo | You need to do your research. By the way, today’s double points day at the drugstore. |
Izumi | I forgot my points card.... |
Sakyo | What? |
Taichi | Sakyo-nii, you’ve done too much sales research...! |
Yuzo | Yo, I’m barging in. |
Sakyo | Yes, you’re in the way. |
Yuzo | Someone’s rude, eh. I’m visiting to bring some good sake, you know? |
Sakyo | Tch. |
Yuzo | I’ve also got a good tale to tell, thanks to him. |
Izumi | Him...? |
