ManagerAnd with that, here are the members who will participate in the Hinamatsuri event! Bravo! Bravo!
IzumiI’ll leave it to you guys.
SakuyaI’ll do my best!
KumonI’ll try my best too!
HisokaZzzz….
HomareAlrighty Hisoka-kun, it’s time to wake up. Here’s a marshmallow.
HisokaNom....
MasumiI’ll win for sure...
SakuyaMasumi-kun’s unusually fired up.
MasumiOf course I am.
KumonUm, so we’re going to participate in the Odairi-sama Contest, right?
ManagerThat’s right! You’ll be wearing Odairi-sama costumes and going around Veludo Way’s hotspots doing themed challenges...
YukiOh, about that...
I’m gonna participate in this.
IzumiThat flyer...
Sakuya“Ohina-sama Contest”?
KumonWoah! Yuki’s gonna participate in the Ohina-sama Contest instead of the Odairi-sama one?!
YukiYep. If I’m gonna wear a costume, then it’d better be cute.
Besides, it looks like you can get a gift card from the Ohina-sama Contest too. I also talked to Sakyo about it and got his permission.
It’s open to anyone willing to participate, so it looks like it’s fine for guys to join.
MasumiHmph.
IzumiIt all works out.
HomareIt seems that this event will have some unexpected variety.
ManagerIf we win both the Odairi-sama and the Ohina-sama Contests, then we’ll get two gift cards…! This is amazing!
HisokaHe’s only thinking about the gift cards.
SakuyaAhahaha…
KumonYou know, I think Yuki would look great in a twelve-layered kimono!
ManagerAlright everyone, let’s all do our best to win this thing!
By the way, according to the website, the theme for this contest is “wa”.[1]
IzumiAlso, it looks like both contests have some themes in common.
I think it’d be good for everyone to practice for the themes.
KumonSo we’re doing challenges with a “wa” theme~ Hmm, I wonder what they are...
YukiSomething like old Japanese traditions?
HomareI see… Well then, I think it would be wise for me to teach everyone on the rules of haiku.
Wasn’t your specialty the tea ceremony, Hisoka-kun? That secret...
HisokaNope.
SakuyaOh yeah, there might be karuta too! I should go review.
MasumiI won’t lose when it comes to love poems.

  1. Wa (和) can mean “peace/harmony” or “Japanese/Japanese-style”. In this case, it’d be the latter but I personally felt it was better to leave it as it is. The old kanji for 和 was 倭, which happens to be the oldest recorded name for Japan.
