Taichi | A SKATEBOARD THEMED PLAY!? |
|
Izumi | Yep. Someone from a stage production company watched the video Taichi-kun posted on TikTak and we got a request. |
Tsuzuru | Heh… it’s impressive Taichi’s video spurred a performance request. |
Izumi | The fact MANKAI Company won the Fleur Special Award also seemed to be one of the main factors that attracted their attention. |
Kumon | Even so, that’s awesome! |
Muku | Good for you, Taichi-kun! |
Taichi | I can't believe we got a request for a skate-themed play because of my video… |
| I wanna take it on for sure!! |
Izumi | If you say so, then I’ll ask for more details. |
| By the way, the performance location will be in Okinawa… |
Muku | Okinawa!? |
Taichi | I see! That makes sense! |
Kumon | What do you mean? |
Taichi | I heard that’s an area with loads of skaters! |
Tsuzuru | I see. That explains the skateboard theme, huh? |
Izumi | We’ll discuss what we’ll do with the script and casting later, after we hear the details. |
Tsuzuru | Sounds good. |
| |
Izumi | And so, I’d like to hold a leaders' meeting regarding our next performance. |
Taichi | I’m pleased to be here! |
|
Izumi | So you see, Taichi-kun’s video was the trigger for the offer this time. |
| The theme is skateboarding, so I’ve asked Taichi-kun to come along with Tsuzuru-kun so we can get his expert opinion on the subject. |
Tsuzuru | Thanks for that. |
| I’m trying to come up with some rough ideas… |
| But since Taichi knows the most about skateboarding, I’d like to start off by asking him what kind of story would work. |
Tsumugi | Good point. |
Taichi | Skateboarding’s a sport that’s enjoyed by both kids and adults! |
| If possible, I’d like to include a wide age range. |
Izumi | I see. |
Banri | By the way. Taichi can skate, so why don’t we have him play the lead? |
Taichi | Eh!? M-ME!? |
Tenma | You were the driving force behind this offer, weren’t you? |
Sakuya | I would also feel at ease with someone experienced as the focus. |
Tsuzuru | Honestly, I was thinking the same thing from the get-go. |
Tsumugi | I agree it’s perfect. |
| How do you feel, Taichi-kun? |
Taichi | —. |
| …If you guys expect that much from me, then there’s no way I’d back down. |
| Nanao Taichi will step up to the plate! |
Banri | It’s settled then. |
Sakuya | I can’t wait to see what kind of show it’ll turn out to be! |
Tsuzuru | There are a few other guys in the troupe who have skated before too… |
| But most of them have no experience. So it might be better to set the staging so they can perform even if they can’t pull off authentic moves. |
Izumi | The theatre we’re going to use was just built, so it’s equipped with state-of-the-art equipment like a projector. |
| I heard lots of different arrangements can be done, so I think it’s possible to make good use of that. |
Banri | Sounds like we’ll be able to come up with lotsa ideas—like usin’ videos for the staging and stuff. |
Tsuzuru | That being said, I’d like the performers to be able to ride a skateboard at the very least. So if they’re gonna be in the show, they’ll have to practise. |
Tenma | I mean, they’ll have no choice but to master it if that happens. |
Taichi | I’ll practice with them too! |
Sakuya | Taichi-kun is really great at teaching, so I’m sure it’ll work out! |
Tsumugi | I’ll try my best if needed as well. |
Izumi | Alright, shall we discuss the casting then? |
