Practice Conversation 1[edit]

JuzaAt the moon viewing, I was in charge of the sword fighting, but everyone also danced.
Since Chikage-san and Hisoka-san has experience because of last time, I plan to practice frequently with them.
I’m also practicing for the Kakushigei Tournament…. And it’s difficult.
I found a reference video and repeated it to study.
The tournament divided us into either Team Red or Team White. We’ll win.

Practice Conversation 2[edit]

JuzaI saw Taichi practicing for the Kakushigei earlier. Practicing that thing where you go under the bar…. Limbo, that was it.
He said he thought of it after seeing the Manager’s limbo set in the storage room.
It’s not just going under the bar either, you also dance.
Taichi’s pretty excited, I hope the audience enjoys it.
Going under a bar huh, he’s practicing a lot but I won’t lose.

Practice Conversation 3[edit]

JuzaDirector, where’s the box?
Huh? Is there dirt on my face? Where…? Here?
…!
…Sorry you had to wipe it off. Thanks.
Ah, I should probably carry this over here.
It’s cleaning day, so there’s a lot to move and clean——.
When needing to carry heavy boxes or clean high spots, I’ll do it. Don’t hesitate to tell me.

AzumaAbout New Years, there are many delicious New Years dishes. Juza, what’s your favorite?
JuzaFavorite New Years dishes…
Braised pork probably…. Sweet black soybeans, and candied chestnut with sweet potatoes.
AzumaFufu, is that so. I also like those.
JuzaAzuma-san, do you like any other New Years dishes?
AzumaYes, I like nimono[1], and tempura shrimp and fish. Still following?
New Years dishes look amazing. Each dish celebrates something specific.
JuzaI’ve heard. Red snapper means congratulations, good harvest, and longevity.
AzumaCorrect. Kombu means joy[2], quite a pun isn’t it, datemaki[3] is similar to rolled sushi and means to be knowledgeable, I believe.
When the new year begins, will there be a mochi competition again?
JuzaThere’s a lot of flavors of mochi, delicious.
AzumaFufu, I look forward to eating mochi with everyone.
JuzaRight.

Notes[edit]

  1. 煮物, a Japanese simmered dish
  2. Kombu (昆布 konbu) is seaweed, and joy in japanese is yorokobu (喜ぶ), which is why Azuma says it’s a pun, a play on words
  3. 伊達巻, a Japanese sweet rolled omelet
