Practice Conversation 1[edit]

Itaru	This time, I’m a Kabuki actor playing the tachiyaku^[1]…
	What’s more, I play the opposing role to Azuma-san who’s playing the onnagata.
	Azuma-san’s onnagata is really beautiful and he has the right air around him too…
	Truthfully, it’s quite a bit of pressure, but I have to practice hard so I can match that beauty and vibe.
	Also, Citron’s really fired up about the Zafra show, and he looks happy.
	I’m going to support and encourage Citron who’s the lead, too.

Practice Conversation 2[edit]

Itaru	It’s popular to strike poses and say lines, Kabuki-style, in the dorm right now.
	Citron’s the one who started it, but Taichi and Kumon are also having a blast doing it too.
	The other day, Kumon saw food he likes placed out for dinner and said, “what superb view, what a superb view”^[2].
	Taichi brought over some snacks that I’d never seen before, and when I asked if they were a new product, he said, “I will explain it to you, if you don’t know”^[3] and then told me about them.
	I feel like way you use them is slightly different…
	But it's interesting to watch everyone posing, so I guess it’s fine.

Itaru	A museum’s mentioned in the guidebook here, huh?
	Heh, I’m interested in this market too.
	Citron also said he has tons of recommended spots in Zafra.
	Zafra really does have a lot of different, interesting locations, huh?
	Pfft…
	Oh, I think Director-san’s cute when you’re all excited thinking about Zafra.
	Haha, nope, I’m not teasing you.
	Looking at the guidebook with Director-san like this, I’m also starting to look forward to it even more.
	I’ll go with you wherever you want to go, Director-san.

Tasuku	Speaking of Kabuki, the long lines of Uiro-uri^[4] are famous too, huh?
Itaru	The ones used by actors and announcers to practice, right?
	Are you able to say them too, Tasuku?
Tasuku	Yeah, I recited them back when I was a student.
	My master is, I guess some of you already know, 20 villages away from Edo in the direction of Kyoto…^[5]
	It takes a few minutes to act out all the lines.
Itaru	Ohh, impressive.
	Speaking of cool, long lines, that spell’s like that too.
Tasuku	Spell?
Itaru	In a famous fantasy game, you have to chant a long spell when you use a certain magic art.
	It’s a spell overflowing with chuunibyou-feel, and all the fans copy and recite it.
	By the way, I practiced it too.
Tasuku	What the heck?
Itaru	But it really is long and surprisingly difficult.
	Why don’t you try it too, Tasuku? It might be good practice for your vocalization and articulation.
Tasuku	…Well, that’s true.
	I got it, teach me the lines of that spell next time.
Itaru	Ok. Let's chant it together.
