| Misumi | Phew~~ Baths are so refreshing! I feel so clean now~! |
| Tsuzuru, Juza. Sorry for having you guys wait for me. Did you wanna ask me something? |
| Tsuzuru | You see, Ikaruga-san, I wanted to interview you about part-time jobs. |
| Misumi | Is this for your next script~? |
| Tsuzuru | It’s gonna be for a company that prints out job listing magazines. I was commissioned to write a script for a commercial. |
| I’m sure you’ve done plenty of odd jobs yourself, so I was hoping to use any story you have as a reference for later. |
| Juza | As for me, I’m still trying to find a part-time job myself, so I came along to listen in. |
| Misumi | Is that so! It’s no problem for me of course~ |
| Let’s see… The jobs I’ve done so far are for a circus, an onigiri shop…. Another was at the amusement park, and then after that…. |
| Tsuzuru | Before all that though, I wanted to ask… What kind of job were doing earlier today? |
| You said you had to roll in grass and crawl into holes. I can’t help but wonder what kind of job would get you to do that… |
| Juza | I’m curious too. |
| Misumi | Oh! I was working as a pet detective assistant! |
| Juza | Pet detective? |
| Misumi | A job that helps owners find their lost pets~ Today I was able to find a cat, a rabbit, and even a parrot! |
| Tsuzuru | Even parrots!? Birds and cats are a given, but trying to find small birds sounds way more difficult in comparison… |
| Misumi | I asked all sorts of animals all around town while on my search, so I actually found them pretty fast~ |
| Juza | Amazing. As expected of Misumi-san… |
| Tsuzuru | That’s a job you wouldn’t be able to easily find in job recruitment listings. How did you go about taking the job, much less finding it? |
| Misumi | The owner of the cat cafe that I used to work for had introduced me to them. |
| The employer’s usual pet detective had hurt his feet, so he couldn’t go searching into tight spaces or any spots that needed a lot of footwork… |
| That’s why he’s been recruiting for someone to help out. |
| Juza | It does sound like the perfect job for someone like Misumi-san. |
| Tsuzuru | Do you often get introduced to other part-time jobs the same way? |
| Misumi. Yep. I’d sometimes apply for the ones in job listings too, but most of the time I’d get jobs from connections of acquaintances and stuff~ |
| (nod nod)... |
| Juza | …Misumi-san, on what, uhm, basis do you follow when choosing your part-time? |
| Misumi | If it seems interesting, then I’ll take it! Also if there’s a high chance for me to find all sorts of triangles on the job! |
| Tsuzuru | That sounds just like you, Ikaruga-san. |
| Misumi | Ehehehe. Of course hourly wage is important too, but as long as I can be active in it and have fun with it, then that’s good enough! |
| |
| |
| Tsuzuru | Just as I expected, we got a lot of part-time stories from Ikaruga-san. |
| Juza | We heard about his jobs and his reasons for them. They’ve both got a lot to do with physical abilities and working with animals. Fitting for Misumi-san. |
| Tsuzuru | Now who should I try asking next. If we’re talking about people who’ve done part-time jobs…. |
| Chikage | ——Oh, Tsuzuru, Juza. I’m home. |
| Tsuzuru | Ah, Chikage-san! Welcome home! Back from your business trip? |
| Juza | Welcome back. |
| Tsuzuru | Huh? Wait, didn’t you mention you were coming home the day after tomorrow? |
| Chikage | The discussions went by more smoothly than expected, so we wrapped it up early. Our team leader for the business negotiations had dealt with the same people before for a little bit in a previous job. |
| Tsuzuru | Ah, I see. |
| Chikage | Are you two doing some sort of assignment for uni or something? |
| Tsuzuru | Eh? |
| Chikage | Judging by the fact you’re carrying around a notebook and your laptop, I was assuming so. |
| Tsuzuru | Oh, you see…… |
| |
| Chikage | So you’re doing interviews about part-time jobs, then. |
| Tsuzuru | Uhm, while we’re at it. Chikage-san, do you maybe have any part-time experiences of your own…? |
| Chikage | Let me think… I suppose I have some. It’s an overseas experience though, so it’s probably a little different from the kind of part-time job you know. |
| Tsuzuru | …Well, if it’s possible, can I interview you for a bit? |
| Chikage | Of course. I just happen to have bought some souvenir cookies as well. How ‘bout we have them while we chat? |
| Juza | Thanks. |
| Tsuzuru | (Chikage-san’s part-time job experiences….. Who knows what kind of experiences he would mean by them. I’m kinda nervous after asking now.) |
