Practice Conversation 1
Guy | I am learning Latin ballroom dancing, but as I’ve mentioned before, I don’t have much experience. |
| However, I play the role of the instructor of a dance class who teaches the lead and co-lead how to dance. |
| I also have a scene where I dance as a pair with Arisugawa. |
| So I must train diligently. |
| Being able to dance with Arisugawa who is well-versed with ballroom dancing is a great learning experience for me as well. |
| I shall receive advice from Arisugawa while devoting myself to dancing in a way that complements his elegance. |
Practice Conversation 2
Guy | The little prince comes to observe our dance rehearsals from time to time. |
| The other day, when I was practising on my own, he asked me if he could watch from the side. |
| It seems he admires ballroom dancing as it is performed by the characters in shoujo manga and picture books. |
| Come to think of it, the little prince eagerly practised his dancing during the “The Floral Prince” play, didn’t he? |
| He looks very happy watching us dance with sparkling eyes. |
| When I see the little prince watching and cheering me on, I put more and more effort into my rehearsals too. Let’s practice even harder so we are able to dance beautifully. |
Practice Conversation 3
Guy | As an instructor, I am preparing for my role by teaching things to others. |
| Such the dances or the dance terminology I learned this time. |
| Explaining things to someone else can serve as good review for yourself as well. |
| My explanations are easy to understand? |
| It is an honour to hear you say so. |
| If you are alright with me, I shall teach you how to make tea, about Zahra, or anything else you would like to know. |
| Of course you teach me about acting, but I am always learning various things from you as well, Director. |
| The way you teach is easy to pick up, so I learn a lot. |
| It feels nice teaching each other various things like this. |
| I would like to continue sharing knowledge and learning together with you—at times as the teacher, and at other times as the learner. |
| Yes, same here. I’ll be counting on you. |
Guy & Masumi Talk
Masumi | Hey, you play a dance instructor in Winter troupe’s upcoming play, don’t you? |
| And I heard from Tsumugi there’s a scene where Homare leads, and the two of you do Latin dancing. |
Guy | Yes, it’s as you said. |
Masumi | I’ve learned some simple steps, and I’ve danced before… |
| But I want to learn even more steps and how to lead so I can skillfully lead her as we dance together. |
| Teach me how to dance your Latin dance steps. |
| It works out perfectly if your role’s an instructor. |
Guy | I see, teaching others how to dance is certainly connected to my role study. I will instruct you, if you are fine with me. |
| It just so happens I was thinking of doing my own training at the rehearsal hall after this. What do you think about joining me too, Usui? |
Masumi | I’ll go. |
Guy | Great. Then let’s start with the posture and steps. |
| It might be a good idea for us to actually try dancing together as I lead. |
Masumi | Got it. I’m counting on you. |
Guy | Same here. I will endeavour so I can be a good instructor. |
| Let’s do our best together. |
