Previous Main Story Next
TsumugiSorry for asking you out all of a sudden.
GuyNo, it’s fine.
TsumugiThis is one of my favorite cafes.
There’s lots of greenery and flowers, right? Apparently they’re all grown in the owner’s yard.
They decorate with various plants and flowers every season, so I never get bored of coming here.
Guy...I see.
Tsumugi....
Guy....
Tsumugi...Um, what should we order?
GuyAnything is fine.
TsumugiThen—. Excuse me, may I have two hot coffees?
Guy....
Tsumugi....
Guy....
Tsumugi...I invited you out today because I wanted to talk with you one-on-one, Guy-san.
GuyI see.
TsumugiMay I ask you a few questions? You don’t have to answer everything....
GuyThat’s fine.
TsumugiTo date, has anything ever made you angry or sad?
GuyNot in particular.
TsumugiThen has anything ever made you happy? Made you laugh out loud? Touched your heart?
Guy...I can’t think of anything.
Tsumugi...Is that so.
Guy...Did I say something to offend you?
TsumugiNo... I was just a little sad because your eyes don’t seem to be lying, Guy-san.
GuyWhy?
Tsumugi....
Guy?
TsumugiWhat kind of place is Zahra Kingdom?
GuyIt’s a country in West Asia, ruled by the king of Zahra. The official language is Zahran, and the tourism industry is central to its development.
It’s an island nation surrounded by the ocean. The land mass is approximately 180 square kilometers. And—.
Tsumugi...Is something wrong?
Guy...The flowers.
TsumugiFlowers?
Guy...The flowers are beautiful.
Tsumugi—I see.
TsumugiCould you keep me company for a little longer?
GuyThat’s fine.
TsumugiI wanted to show you this—it’s tiny, but there’s a little sprout, right?
Guy...Why are you showing me?
TsumugiCitron-kun planted this bulb.
GuyCitronia did...?
TsumugiBut we don’t know what’s going to grow from it. Because Citron-kun apparently purchased it without looking at the type of flower....
Citron-kun was looking forward to seeing the flower bloom. Could you help me raise itin Citron-kun’s stead?
Guy...I understand. What should I do?
TsumugiFirst, let’s water the plant and get rid of the weeds.
GuyGot it.
GuyIs this enough water?
TsumugiIt’s perfect.
GuyNext are the weeds, right.
TsumugiPlease.

Guy....
Tsumugi...How is Winter Troupe?
GuyWhat do you mean by how?
TsumugiWhat do you think of it?
GuyCompared to the other troupes, its members are more composed and mature. They don’t interfere with one another unnecessarily, and they keep each other at a reasonable distance.
TsumugiI see....
I suppose our ages have to do with it; those traits haven’t really changed since our debut performance.
But still, in the beginning there was too much distance; it took some effort for us to open up to one another.
The distance between us now is the ideal we established through that.
GuyI see....
TsumugiI was the lead during our debut performance. We went up against a troupe called GOD-za.
The conditions were that if we lost, we had to dissolve the troupe—it was quite a bit of pressure.
The second performance was a mystery play where Homare-san starred as the lead. Homare-san overcame his inner conflict during that performance.
Azuma-san was the lead for the third performance. The play was a success because Azuma-san and Tasuku, the second lead, developed mutual trust in one another.
GuyI see.
TsumugiYou might be a temporary member, but since you joined Winter Troupe, I thought I should tell you everything we’ve been through up till now.
Guy...Is that so.
TsumugiGuy-san, how do you see everyone in Winter Troupe?
Guy...Takato is blindly devoted to theater; he has a tendency to connect everything to acting. I get the impression he’s not very interested in others.
Yukishiro is kind and friendly, but he draws a line between himself and others. He’s otherworldly and doesn’t seem very human. He’s a secretive person.
Mikage is a marshmallow monster who naps all the time. He’s somehow bleak, and I get a sense of emptiness from him, but he seems satisfied so long as he has marshmallows.
Arisugawa’s appearance and poems are very creative. Also, he looks like he’s free of worries and concerns.
Tsumugi...So that’s your impression of them, Guy-san.
GuyAm I wrong?
TsumugiPlease see for yourself, Guy-san.
Guy....
