TsumugiTasuku, where are we going?
Tasuku...Around here should work.
TsumugiHuh?
Tasuku“Give me a break!”
Tsumugi——
Tasuku“I can’t put up with this anymore. I’m cutting ties with you.”
Passerby AWhat’s going on? A fight?
Passerby BIsn’t it a street act?
Tsumugi“What do you mean? I don’t understand what this is about.”
Tasuku“You’ve sure given it some serious thought.”
“Now that father is dead, I’m the head of the family since I’m the eldest son. You’re already disowned.”
Tsumugi“Then let me just say this –– I’ve always hated that that overbearing side of you, aniki.”
Tasuku“What—— An irresponsible guy like you who doesn’t fulfill his own responsibilities has no right to say that.”
Passerby CA family dispute?
Passerby DLooks interesting.
Tsumugi“We’re getting nowhere talking about this here. Let’s settle this in court.”
Tasuku“——Fine by me. That’s just what I want.”
Passerby ABravo!
Passerby BThat was great!
Passerby CIt was interesting!
TsumugiAh, you don’t have to toss any coins. It’s not like that——
TasukuLet’s go.
Tsumugi...Before I knew it, we were surrounded by so many people.
TasukuI didn’t notice either.
Tsumugi...
Tasuku...
...We were still students the last time we did a street act together.
Tsumugi...You’re right. We didn’t have any money back then so we did it lots together.
TasukuI have no idea what’s on your mind at all... but I thought this was the only way I can face you in earnest.
Tsumugi...It was fun.
I already knew it, but... As I thought, acting with you is fun, Tasuku. You always exceed my expectations when you respond to my lines.
Tasuku...I should be the one saying that. There’s a lot of things to recognize about your acting.
I think about how I can do better than your acting, and I keep getting better and better.
Tsumugi...Do you remember the school arts festival back in elementary school?
The shy, introverted me played the lead role, and you played the co-lead... I couldn’t forget the sense of accomplishment and excitement I felt back then, so I continued to pursue theatre.
From middle school on, I just had fun acting with you. Even when we graduated university, I wanted to join GOD-za with you.
But in the end, that didn’t happen; I got overwhelmed, and I gave up acting once.
Tasuku...
TsumugiEven so, I couldn’t forget that excitement I feel the moment I stand on stage and when the curtain rises.
That’s why I returned to this town.
TasukuSo, what do you plan to do here? Give up the lead role to me in order to beat GOD-za?
Tsumugi...The truth is, I want to stand proudly on stage as the lead actor.
TasukuThen say that in front of them. Don’t give up so easily... I’m here to support you too.
TsumugiTasuku... Really?
Tasuku...Obviously. We’re part of the same team after all.
TsumugiAfter hearing that from you, I feel like I can do anything. ...It’s like we’re back to how things were before.
Tasuku——
Tsumugi, back then, I...
TaichiHuh!? Tsumugi-san, Tasuku-san!
BanriWhat are you guys up to? Practice?
TasukuSomething like that.
TsumugiWhat about you two?
TaichiShopping for dinner~
BanriThere’s lots more of us now, so shopping is tough.
TsumugiI see. We’ll help you carry stuff.
BanriThanks.
Tasuku...
TaichiYou’re a lifesaver!
TsumugiTasuku, that thing we were talking about earlier——
TasukuToday, tell everyone what you told me earlier.
Tsumugi——Okay.
IzumiTsumugi-san, I’ve gathered everyone.
TsumugiThank you very much.
There’s something I would like to tell everyone.
I once ran away from theatre, something that I continued to pursue until university.
When Tasuku and I did the enrolment exam for GOD-za, the chairman, Kamikizaka-san, told me that I have no talent and that I should quit acting. That was the reason why I ran away.
When I did theatre at school, I was praised for it by the people around me; I even received awards. So I was a little confident about my acting.
But, at that moment, it instantly fell apart.
I became afraid of acting in my own way, left this town, and started doing jobs that had nothing to do with theatre.
But, in the end, I couldn’t give it up.
Even if I lead a life without ever touching theatre, I still end up thinking about standing on stage once more, no matter what.
As I thought, this is the only path for me. I won’t run away again.
I gathered my resolve in my own way, and returned to this town.
The showdown act against GOD-za is a disadvantageous gamble. I can’t fully guarantee that we’ll win.
Even so, I don’t want to run away anymore. Let me accept the challenge from GOD-za.
So that I won’t repeat the regret I felt from running away that time——
Please.
IzumiTsumugi-san...
TsumugiI’m really sorry that this is for my own personal reasons. But, I will absolutely follow through.
Izumi(His expression is unwavering. He really has steeled his heart.)
Tasuku...Of course. I won’t let you run away anymore.
BanriLet’s do this.
JuzaYeah. Like hell we’re running away.
OmiIt’s better to regret doing something than to regret not doing something.
TaichiI’m gonna spill all of GOD-za’s weak points!
BanriWe’re counting on you, Taichi.
Tenma...There’s no way around it. If we’re gonna do it, we’ll do it all the way.
SakuyaI’ll also support everyone with all my might! Let’s do our best!
HomareOh dear, this has turned serious.
AzumaBut we have to obey what our leader has decided. My abilities are not up to par, but I’ll do my best too.
Hisoka...Yeah.
AzumaOh? You’re unusually awake.
HomareI lured him with marshmallows!
AzumaI see.
ManagerAll right then! First, let’s have a social gathering to deepen all of the troupes’ bonds!
