| --Film No. 01: Azami Izumida-- |
Azami | Is it recording already? |
Omi | Yeah, it should be running. |
Azami | So I’m the first one? |
Omi | You were the first to come home, after all. |
| I’m going to dive right into the questions. |
| What do you think of Hyodo Juza as an actor? |
Azami | Stiff and straight hair. His skin is smooth, but he has a lot of sebum. |
| He has distinct facial features so he stands out on stage. |
| He’s usually sloppy about skin care, so you have to watch him closely. |
Omi | I didn’t expect that kind of answer… well, you are Azami. |
| Then what do you think Hyodo Juza lacks as an actor? |
Azami | Hmm… I don’t have as much experience as an actor, so…. |
| He’s too serious—maybe that can be a fault sometimes? |
| I think he should relax a bit more. |
Omi | Perfect. Finally, what do you respect about him? |
Azami | ——. |
| |
Juza | …. |
Luciano | “Why'd you call us here, boss?” |
Capone | “Luciano, Lansky. I’m going to have the two of you pair up.” |
Luciano | “Hah!?” |
Lansky | “I refuse.” |
Juza | …. |
Izumi | Huh? Are you watching “Picaresque”? |
Juza | Yeah. |
Izumi | Weren’t you just watching “A Tale of Chivalry”? |
Juza | I’m watching everything in preparation for the next play—trying to figure out what I need to work on. |
Izumi | (All-too-straightforwardly ambitious as usual…!) |
| (He never holds back, and he’s always modest. He’s definitely going to keep improving as an actor.) |
| Were you able to come up with anything? |
Juza | ...I’m full of issues. |
| Articulation, enunciation, movement. The basics, and my narrow field of vision; I can’t keep track of the whole stage…. |
| Also, I haven’t done a wide range of roles. My acting is pretty similar in every performance. |
Izumi | (He has a point—a lot of his roles up till now made full use of Juza-kun’s rugged, cool air.) |
| |
Izumi | (He’s played slightly different kinds of roles during etudes and the anniversary stage, but not during an Autumn Troupe performance yet.) |
| (Manto Fist was a comedy, which was a challenge for all of Autumn Troupe—but Juza-kun was the last boss, so his acting didn’t change much….) |
Juza | I want to test my potential as an actor. |
Izumi | Potential, huh…. |
| (Juza-kun has practiced the basics more seriously than anyone else; he approaches all his roles sincerely.) |
| (You feel secure watching him on stage, too.) |
| (Maybe that’s why he’s thinking—and worrying—about what kind of actor he can become from here on out….) |
| (Back when he first started acting, just standing on stage took his full focus, so this is a sign of growth.) |
| (How can I give Juza-kun a new opportunity to challenge himself….) |
| *Door opens* |
Banri | I’m home. |
Izumi | Ah, welcome back, Banri-kun. |
Banri | Oh hey, it’s our first run of “Picaresque”. |
| Hyodo, you must’ve been speechless at how much of a daikon you were. |
Juza | Aah? I’m just watching you freak out after getting swallowed by Sakyo-san’s acting. |
Banri | The hell!? |
Izumi | (Geez, they haven’t changed since “Picaresque”. Even though they’re in college now—.) |
| —Ah, that’s right! |
