Izumi Excuse me. Tasuku Good work today. It must be tiring going back and forth between all these rooms. Tsumugi You’ll be filming Tasuku next, so I guess I should leave the room. Izumi No, it’s fine if you want to stay. Tasuku Yeah, I don’t mind either. Tsumugi Really? Then I’ll be reading over there. Tasuku First I have to roll the dice to choose the topic, right? Izumi Yep, I look forward to working with you! Tasuku-san’s topic is “Best Performance”! (Tasuku-san’s best performance scene, huh.. He’s hard on himself, but he must have one from our fifth show..) Tasuku I don’t have one. Izumi What! That was quick.. Tasuku Of course, I give every performance my all. But there’s nothing that I can confidently call my best performance. Izumi I see.. (This is a special event, and I don’t want to force him to choose one..) Then you can roll again. Tasuku Yeah. Sorry for being selfish. Izumi It’s fine, this is the fifth time it’s happened anyway. Tasuku The fifth time? Izumi Nothing. Please go ahead and reroll! Tasuku I got “An Unexpected Success”. Izumi So a time you may have made a mistake but something good came out of it! Do you have any stories like that? Tasuku A mistake is a mistake, so I don’t want to sugarcoat it… Izumi As always, you’re tough on yourself. But you can only reroll once. Tasuku Yeah, I know. Oh yeah, I think this was the second night of performances— Izumi (Musashi and Kojiro confront the assassin…) Musashi “As if I’d let you go!” *Musashi attacks the assassin.* Assassin “..!” Musashi “Fu.. Tah!” Assassin “Ugh.. you’re strong..” Kojiro “Don’t kill him.” Musashi “I’ll try—” “Haaah!” Assassin “…!” Tasuku Here, our timing didn’t match. Mikage is athletic, so he managed to dodge my sword, but it got caught on my sleeve. Musashi “Fu.. I see you’re talented. But, I can keep going…!” “Haaaah!!” Tojiro “What a wild blade - it is as if it is a god dealing out punishments to sinners.” Izumi (Though his kimono isn’t completely on anymore, he continues to swing his sword - it’s as if Musashi’s gone mad.) (Because of that, Tojiro’s line has more of an impact.) Tasuku Rurikawa told me afterwards that if I can use my useless muscles for theater, they wouldn’t be so useless after all… After that, I had to partially remove my kimono every performance. Izumi I remember now! Tasuku It is a mistake, so I’m not happy with it. But it did end up giving a nice effect, so it was all good in the end. Tsumugi Fu… Tasuku Oi, Tsumugi, why are you laughing? Tsumugi Sorry, sorry. I just remembered a similar thing happened while we were students. Tasuku Ah.. that. Tsumugi It’s hard to believe, but Tasuku’s actually messed up his entrance in a show before. Izumi Tasuku-san’s messed up what!? Tsumugi But Tasuku’s role was a very lazy, laid back person, so it was in character and funny when he showed up late. Afterwards, we changed the script and lines. Izumi I see..! (Typical of Tasuku-san to be loved by the theater gods.) Tasuku Was that fine for a comment? Izumi Yep! Thank you so much. I only have Hisoka-san left to do for the sixth show. Tasuku But 24 shows, huh. Tsumugi If we include mix or event plays, there are even more. Izumi When I think back on it, it really is amazing. Tasuku It’s hard to do even one show well, so it’s surprising we managed to have so many successful shows with the amount of people we have in the troupe. Tsumugi Plenty of shows do have troubles and incidents that cause them to be canceled. Tasuku Yeah, it happens to shows I’m a guest performer in sometimes. Izumi It happens to troupes I’ve helped out as well. (Those kinds of things have happened to myself as well during my times as a student and actor.) (But just as those two have said, with everyone here at MANKAI supporting us—) (We’ve managed to pull off 24 troupe performances along with mix and event plays.) (It’s a… no, it’s not a miracle. It’s because everyone worked hard.) Tsumugi —Oh, it’s already this late. Izumi Eh? Oh, you’re right! The sun is already starting to set. I have to hurry up and film Hisoka-san..! Excuse me, I have to leave now! Tasuku Alright. Tsumugi I’ll see you later. Izumi Hisoka-san? Hisoka-saaan. (There’s no response. Oh, it looks like the door’s unlocked, though.) I’m coming in, okay? (It looks like there isn’t anyone in here now.) Hm? What could this lump in the kotatsu be? Hisoka Zzz…. Izumi Just as I thought… Hisoka-san, wake up. It’s your turn to be filmed for the commemorative video. Hisoka Zzz…. Izumi (He doesn’t seem like he’s going to wake up anytime soon. What should I do? There aren’t any marshmallows around, either…) Hisoka Zzz… Izumi This is no good. It’ll be faster if I go find marshmallows rather than just trying to figure out what to do..! (Why does today have to be the day where there are no marshmallows in the kitchen and convenience stores…) (It did take a while, but I managed to get my hands on some marshmallows. Here we go again—) Hisoka-san! Wake up, I have marshmallows. Hisoka …Marshmallows, *munch*… Oh, director. Good morning. Izumi He finally woke up… (I’m already tired… But, the real challenge starts now.) Here, Hisoka-san. The dice to choose the topic for your commentary scene. Hisoka Should the topic be different than everyone else’s? Izumi If possible. I think the one that hasn’t been chosen yet is… “Best Performance”. Hisoka Okay. I got it. Izumi Wow! You got “Best Performance” on your first roll! Hisoka …I’m good at faking dice rolls. Izumi Eeh!? Hisoka …I’m joking. I can control what I get with the amount of strength I put in, but that was an honest roll. Izumi (Whichever one it is, it’s still amazing..) Hisoka Best performance… Izumi Can you think of one..? Hisoka Um… Oh, I got one. Izumi (I’m so glad..!) Izumi (It’s our sixth evening performance. Liam and Edgar and engaging in casual conversation, but..) Edgar “There’s something called pre-wedding jitters, so you should take care of her during this time.” “I had a lot going on with my own wife just before we got married as well…” Liam “Ah.” Edgar “…” “…What’s up? You seem sullen. How about a match to get your mind off it?” Liam “With you? …Well, I guess it’s fine.” Edgar “Then, let’s play Blackjack.” Liam “That’s fine.” Izumi This match was an adlib by Guy-san, wasn’t it Hisoka Tasuku-san was supposed to come out in the next scene but he had problems with his costume, so we needed to buy some time for him. So we ended up playing Blackjack with the cards that Guy happened to have with him. Edgar “It’s a win for me.” Liam “Tch… I wasn’t planning on losing.” Edgar “If you’re like that, Catherine will be disappointed in you.” Liam “I’ll keep that in mind.” Izumi (They managed to buy enough time for Oliver to come out on time for the next scene.) Hisoka We played an honest game of Blackjack then, and I lost. Izumi I didn’t know that! But that adlib bought enough time and it was really interesting to watch you two play a match of Blackjack. The way Guy-san fanned his cards out was perfect. Hisoka Apparently he helped Azuma practice and learned it during the process. Izumi As expected of Guy-san. (Speaking of Azuma-san and Guy-san, I wonder if Hisoka-san knows what they’re doing tonight.) Hisoka Zzz… Izumi Hisoka-san, there’s only a little bit more left - you can do it! Izumi Good work. Now I’ve finished filming for all of Winter Troupe. Hisoka Uh-huh. Homare I’m back. Izumi Oh, welcome back Homare-san. Homare It appears my timing was excellent. Have you finished filming? Hisoka We just finished. Homare I’m glad. We’re ready as well. I’ve brought back some popular expensive chocolates that the editors gave us. Don’t you think that good wine requires good food to go with it? Izumi Good wine? Homare Oya? Have you not heard? Tasuku We’re having beer or sake today, right? Tsumugi It’s okay. I’ll put the plates here for now. Tasuku I’ll put the stove on the kotatsu, too. Azuma Fufu, I have a lot of different sakes. I asked Asajo-san for them. Tasuku Is that all the sake we have? Azuma Of course not. It’s heavy so I left it downstairs. Tasuku, I’m counting on you to move it. Tasuku Hah… Hisoka I have marshmallows that go with sake. Guy These ingredients are almost cooked through. It should be ready to eat soon. Izumi By any chance, is this.. Homare It’s a hot pot party in the kotatsu! Izumi So the event tonight was this! (So Azuma-san’s phone call to Asajo-san and him saying something was ready was about the sake.) Tasuku …It’s cramped. Hisoka Zzz… Homare Come on, Hisoka-kun, wake up. Azuma Let’s have a toast. Tsumugi A toast to the party, tasty sake and hot pot. Everyone Cheers! Guy As expected of sake Yukishiro got. It’s good. Hisoka I like this sweet sake. Izumi The Zahran-style hot pot that Guy-san made is also very tasty! Tsumugi The flavor’s seeped into it. Homare Hm, it tastes very exotic… Wonderful, poetic inspiration has welled up in me! Azuma The filming for Winter Troupe is all done, right? Good work as the cameraman, director. Hisoka Good work. Izumi It’s fine, I had fun too! Oh, but even though Winter Troupe is the troupe with the oldest members— You all asked for rerolls because you had the same topic or you didn’t like the one you got, and I didn’t know what to do then. Guy There was someone other than me who changed their topic? Tasuku Guy-san, you rolled twice too? Tsumugi Ahaha, I didn’t know that. Azuma Sorry for giving you a hard time, director. Homare I hope the hot pot makes up for it. Hisoka I didn’t change my topic. I got the topic director told me to get on my first try. Tasuku Then, Mikage made up for our mistakes. Homare As expected for people bound together by a common destiny! Izumi Save lines like that for some time that’s more important!
