Episode 38: Party!
Previous Main Story Next
IzumiOnce again, I would like to hold this party to celebrate the success of the Winter Troupe play, our victory in the showdown act, and then the full payment of our debt!
BanriThat’s a lot.
OmiIsn’t it good to have lots of things to celebrate?
CitronIt’s an auspicious event![1]
ItaruThat means something different.
IzumiNow then, let’s have the Winter Troupe leader, Tsumugi-san, give the toast!
TsumugiWhat!?
Uhh, we won without a hitch this time thanks to everyone’s support.
Thank you very much. I look forward to working with you from here on out as well.
SakuyaMe too!
TenmaThe Winter Troupe play was great. The Summer Troupe won’t lose, you hear?
BanriThe Autumn Troupe won’t lose either.
TsumugiLet’s all work hard together and make MANKAI Company even livelier than before! Cheers!
IzumiCheers!
MisumiCheers!
ItaruGood work.
KazunariGood work peeps~!
MukuGood work~!
TaichiGood work!
MasumiThis is good…
IzumiThis pizza is delicious!
OmiIt’s deluxe margherita. The cheese is the highlight.
MisumiTriangle, triangle~
JuzaHey you, don’t take my pizza.
MisumiFirst come, first served~!
JuzaGh… As if I’d lose.
Misumi*woosh*!
JuzaHe’s fast…!
TsuzuruLooks like it’ll be gone in a blink of an eye.
OmiI’ll go bake a second batch.
TsuzuruI’ll help. These guys’ stomachs are a bottomless pit.
OmiThanks.
IzumiSomehow, all sorts of things happened during the Winter Troupe’s performance period~
AzumaIn the end, I wonder what that “Locked Room” was about.
Hisoka…A mystery.
TsumugiDidn’t the door disappear after that?
AzumaIf the “Locked Room” turned out to be real, I wonder if that means the rest of the Seven Mysteries are true.
HomareI wonder about that… Fufun.
TsumugiWell, they probably are.
TasukuRight.
Izumi???
(For some reason they sound like they’re implying something…?)
BanriTsumugi-san, good work.
TsumugiGood work.
BanriYou don’t seem like leader material so I wondered what’d happen, but you sure pulled it off.
TsumugiIt’s thanks to everyone teaching me various stuff. But as expected, things were a little rocky before everything got settled…
BanriIn the end, what kind of method did you use?
Tsumugi…Hmm, I didn’t really do anything in particular.
BanriYou didn’t!?
TsumugiHaha. Each of the members managed to figure things out.
BanriThat’s no good. Well, I’m not one to talk though.
Sakyo…Hm? This sake is…
AzumaWant a drink? I’ll pour you some.
SakyoThanks. That Matsukawa, buying expensive liquor like this… I’ll give him an earful later.
AzumaIt’s a gift from one of my frequent clients. I’ve known them for a long time. They even praised our performance.
Sakyo…That client of yours has great taste.
AzumaHehe. Right? I have all sorts of other stuff, so I’ll open them later.
Tetsuro
YuzoYeah, that’s right. It might’ve been interesting too even if you had used a high wooden stage. Well, assuming it’s within budget.
Tetsuro
YuzoYeah, I remember when that happened. Sure brings back memories.
Oh, it’s for me.
—Hello?
Yeah. Did you see my message?
Your daughter did a job well done. Well, there’s still a long road ahead of her though…
ManagerOh, which reminds me.
Mikage-kun, a fan letter arrived for you during the last performance.
Hisoka…A fan letter?
HomareOhh! Is it Fan Number One?
AzumaWay to go, Hisoka.
Hisoka
TsumugiWhat does it say?
Tasuku“I’m watching you, December. Apr.” …What a weird letter.
HomareDecember? It seems to have a hidden meaning behind it, somehow.
AzumaI wonder if this “Apr.” is the sender. They kind of sound like a stalker though.
IzumiThat’s true…
TasukuSomeone troublesome has taken a liking to you.
Hisoka…April.
Izumi(April…? Come to think of it, I feel like I’ve heard December somewhere before…)

Notes

  1. Losing my hair over these puns… To refer to something as a cause for celebration in general you’d say ‘omedetai’, but Citron said ‘omedeta’, which is what you’d use for something like pregnancy/childbirth or a wedding
